1. COUNTRY(IES) I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT.
Hello.
I guess is time to actually starting this thing. I will probably get way above the 160 words, so I´m sorry.
So... Countries I want to visit or maybe live some day. As an architecture student I have plenty of ideas.
I really want to visit Italy, mostly because of Pompeii, an ancient city whose tophography is pretty much known even if it´s on ruins. Not really a place to stay, but to admire, even tho I´ve never liked history in general too much, I really like Roman history, atleast enough to admire their architecture and studies around that. I really like Italy too, it´s pretty rich in history of ancient civilization and has good food, but not really my first option to live honestly.
Second one is Singapore. Listen, I´m not really a big fan of insanely big modern buildings, but holy molly, those are amazing. Also, they´re not your typical square building, they´re pretty interesting, atleast from the photos, they are. It´s really strange that such structures exist even tho Singapure is quite literally pure islands, 73 to be more exacty. And is admirable once you know that this country was poor not so long time ago and now is one of the richests now.
But one I really, really want to visit is England, for London, is basically my dream as a future architect, specially the great Gothic church of Westminster Abbey. The first thing I think of when I´m talking about London, is about it´s antique structures and big buildings. And I don´t even like that place that much since the whole history behind them, America and Africa and all the things they stole and still keep in their museums, but... Yeah, I really need to visit those places before I die.
Now, thinking about where I would like to live, is obviously a first world country in Europe, but the important question is which one is more likely to help me in my professional journey, I will probably go north, I would go Norway, Finland or Sweden. I invesigate a little and they´re the best options for me, as a woman specially. I really love the architecture of the casual houses of all of them, so that won´t be a probem, but I really can´t choose, maybe Finland is a little bit above because of how safe all is at the point of not having people in their jails, but whatever option is 10/10 for me. Specially since they´re mostly pretty cold places, that´s a plus.
