English in college
Now,
talking about english.
I grew up in an english type of school, I came in knowing absolutely
nothing about english, I even had a 2,1 in my first test back in 2nd grade. But
I came out as one of the best students in english. That school was unique
because it imitated the "gringo style" of schools, you can think of
about the american schools in movies and that´s pretty much how it was, just
cheaper and chilean.
Now, talking about English in college, it was good. I mean, there´s
obviously topics that you never end up understanding 100%. I was never good in technicities;
I prefer talking or reading than doing technical check on everything in a
phrase. But it wasn´t a waste at all, I know those technicities are necessary
and I´m thankful that I learned them again.
Also, the classes were fun, without having to do writing tests, the
classes were dynamic even though there were times I couldn´t attend or when my
classmates didn´t know how to participate.
I really liked how the classes were made, I´m a little sad that people don´t participate a lot and sometimes my teacher only gets silent after asking something, maybe online isn´t the best option for this dynamic, so I hope in the future things would get better.
