English in college

Now, talking about english.  I grew up in an english type of school, I came in knowing absolutely nothing about english, I even had a 2,1 in my first test back in 2nd grade. But I came out as one of the best students in english. That school was unique because it imitated the "gringo style" of schools, you can think of about the american schools in movies and that´s pretty much how it was, just cheaper and chilean.  Now, talking about English in college, it was good. I mean, there´s obviously topics that you never end up understanding 100%. I was never good in technicities; I prefer talking or reading than doing technical check on everything in a phrase. But it wasn´t a waste at all, I know those technicities are necessary and I´m thankful that I learned them again.  Also, the classes were fun, without having to do writing tests, the classes were dynamic even though there were times I couldn´t attend or when my classmates didn´t know how to participate.  I rea...

Changes to my study programme

So I´m currently studying architecture . I´m not so sure about how to talk about this topic, but I do know that the programme has been changing a lot over the years because of the technology advances and protests of students around being overwhelmed with work. The teachers of "taller 2" are the ones who always talk us about previous classes that they used to have, specially the older one. I still have to study other 4 years minimum to graduate, so I think it´s probable that I will witness other changes. To give more details, I know that in the college years of the older teacher weren´t at all digitalized, and always talks about how we "have it so easy" because we have the internet, which I really think we not because most of us have "taller anxiety". So maybe times changed, but the work adapted to give us less reasons to live anyway. In other classes, I know that in physics, in previous years they didn´t have to study a lot of subjects as we do, the secon...

Food

Imagen
I was never a picky kid, since little I was raised with home-cooked food since I was a baby. But now I have this thing that if I eat too much of one thing, even if it´s one day a week, I get so bored that I feel nauseous or disgusted by that food to the level of wanting to puke. It happened with smashed potatoes, with yougurts (My parent told me that when I was a baby, I could eat yougurt all day) then with cooked fish and then even with McDonalds burgers. But the one food I can´t get bored with, is the lasagna cooked by my father. It´s not even that gourmet because I don´t even like much the lasagna cooked by restaurants. I think the reason is because the home cooked lasagna is simplier, with less condiments, but I´m still not sure if that´s the reason. Either way, I think I haven´t eaten it for 4 years by now, but damn I really want to. I used to eat it almost every 2 weeks!

Future Job

Imagen
So, I´m studying architecture. I´m in my first year and I like it until now. I guess is pretty obvious my future job will be architecture, but I have some more plans on that and on my future.  After I graduate I want to travel abroad to all the countries with the best architecture structures. Or maybe just England, I would live there for the rest of my life honestly. It´s not really my goal to work in architecture the rest of my life, but I really want to design self-sustaining houses so people can live better with less money, and by self-sustaining I mean houses that doesn´t need to spend too much in electricity, water and heat to work like a normal house. After I have enough money monthly to live by myself, because I don´t want to have children or a partner in a looooong time, I want to work on my hobbies. I really like to draw and write, I´m even writting a teen inclusive book and trying to gain money while drawing digitally. I would like to arrive on my 50s happily writti...

Best Holiday

Imagen
I think the best holiday I´ve ever had was when I went with my family to Algarrobo, in that amazingly big ,and nothing cheap, hotel. Next to the beach and a huge pool.  I can´t really remember the year, but I think it was 2017. My little brothers weren´t taller than me at that time. It was at the time that my father got payed and got some days of vacation, so he wanted to celebrate in big with all his close family, (my mom, my two little brothers and me), including my dog, even if it was really expensive experience.  Listen, I don´t like beach that much, not even pools. But for the first time in my long stressfull school experience that I managed to seriously relax in a holiday even if I had to share a room with my brothers. The food was amazing, the place was extremely paceful, even while going out to buy some stuff to remember that trip. I found a physics book of Stephen Hawkins, it´s not something you would buy to remember a trip, but it was one of the few things I wa...

Musician

Imagen
I´m not really a person who is a huge fan of one artist, or even one genre. I often listen to alternative music, a combination of rock, punk, or things like that. But honestly, what I do is searching for playlist with one theme when I´m doing homework and just go for it. It might be confusing, but for example, if I really need to finish some homework but is too late to even think, I search for “Pov: you´re a villain” because I don´t know why, but songs with the lyrics of traumatized people makes me think faster and keeps me awake. But in other hand I have this fan desire to talk about BTS, because is the only music group/artists that I really liked enough to learn their names and have more than 5 songs in Spotify. But the one of amongst all of them I really love is RM, or Kim Namjoon. He´s the one who made me fan of the boyband group. Actually I started to like him back in 2018 at the very moment of bein introduced to BTS by my friends. He´s the main rapper and leader of the k-pop ...

The series I recommend

Imagen
I´ve watch so many series that this blog could be about 20 thousand words long. So, I guess I will write about just two that have more in common between them than I expected. It´s quite difficult to relate this without any spoilers, so I will try to just keep the information of the trailers. The first one is Good Omens. 10/10. Is a fantasy comedy series written by Niel Gaiman and is on Amazon prime video, it has six episodes and only one season at this time, but the next season is soon to be finish on 2022. It has a book that I really want to read soon. The series relate the relationship between an angel and a demon, who have been around earth since the very beginning of times. Aziraphale and Crowley seem to want to be friends, but they´re enemies by inheritance Apart of falling in love with earth and opposing it´s destruction, they learn that they don’t need to be in anyone´s side. The second one is Lucifer, from Netflix. Is an American urban television series developed...
